BRO for Education Receives Scholarship Allowance

          1,380 scholars of the Bojie-Rodito Opportunities (BRO) for Education in the Municipalities of Luna, Aurora, Roxas, Burgos, and Mallig received their 3,000.00 educational allowance from the Provincial Government of Isabela during the past five days from September 16-21, 2019.  The distribution was personally attended by Governor Rodito T. Albano III and Vice Governor Faustino N. Dy III.  A total of 13,480 BRO Scholars in Isabela Province will be receiving their educational allowance for the Second Semester SY2018-2019, which will be delivered to the scholars and their parents in their municipalities as scheduled. The event started on September 16, 2019 in Luna, Isabela and was synchronized with the distribution of Financial Assistance to Tobacco Farmers and the Orientation and Membership recruitment of the Nagkaisang Magsasaka ng Isabela Agricultural Cooperative which is expected to be completed at the end of October.

           During the distribution in the first five municipalities, the Governor announced that he will further strengthen the scholarship program by providing the scholars with tablets for downloading e-books which they can also use for their research works and for taking-down notes instead of carrying books and notebooks to school.  He also bared the expansion of the BRO scholarship program by giving P10,000.00 yearly educational allowances to graduate or masteral students and those who are pursuing courses in law, medicine, dentistry and theology.  The Governor also recalled that as early as   2000 while still a Congressman, he already started paying the tuition fees of almost all students in all campuses of the Isabela State University at the time when tuition fees in state universities were not yet free. He also disclosed that LPGMA has been his partner in providing free tuition fees to ISU students since 2010 and encouraged the latter to give additional P30 million for the BRO Education scholars in 2020.  He assured his continued support to the scholars of the province as he bared his vision for all students to be able to graduate, be gainfully employed and become successful and competitive in their chosen careers and make their parents proud of their achievements.
