PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Agreement reached by the Provincial Government and the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation provides for the capacity of Small Farmers to recover their losses from natural calamities like flooding, typhoons, quakes, and Climate Change-related weather conditions, and insect and pest infestation. Qualified farmers are enrolled in the program which covers a planting season through harvest time. The PCIC shall indemnify farmers and pay them directly upon completion and verification of documentary requirements and evaluation of crop damage.
GOALS/ OBJECTIVES
To provide eligible small farmers a crop insurance premium for an acceptable coverage to recover part of their farming capital during calamities either natural or pest infestations.
